BIO

I am a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser and the owner of ATW Appraisal Service, where I have provided high-quality, reliable valuation services since 2011. With extensive experience across residential property types, including single-family homes, 2–4 unit income properties, manufactured homes, REO/foreclosure assignments, and appraisal reviews, I focus on delivering accurate analyses, consistent reporting, and dependable turnaround times. As a VA certified appraiser, I am committed to meeting strict industry standards and client expectations.

Earlier in my career, I served in the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) Right of Way Department, conducting real property appraisals for eminent domain purposes. This work included both residential and commercial valuations, with narrative and form-based reports often subject to legal review. I gained experience supporting the state as an expert witness and developed a strong command of sales comparison and cost approach methodologies.

I began my appraisal career with Christopher Shaw, of Shaw Appraisal Service, covering the Raleigh/Durham and Wilmington markets. There, I specialized in a wide range of residential assignments—new construction, rehab projects, land, multi-family, investment properties, and mortgage-based transactions. My responsibilities also included property inspections, reviewing the work of others, interpreting blueprints, and utilizing GIS systems, all while complying with USPAP standards and state regulations.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Management concentration) from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and maintain my State Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser credential through ongoing continuing education.

Based on the coast of North Carolina, I enjoy spending time on the water, taking my boat out, fishing, and playing golf.
