Woody Fincham
Woody Fincham, SRA, AI-RRS, RAA, Member of RAC, is a respected real estate appraiser and approved instructor for the Appraisal Institute based in the Charlottesville, Virginia area.
In August 2019, he established his own appraisal firm with his son.
Before launching his practice, Fincham served as a board member for a national valuation firm and as Residential Chief Appraiser for another national appraisal company.
In these roles, he promoted cross-department collaboration through training and business development initiatives and provided guidance to staff appraisers on complex assignments and challenging property types. Recently, Fincham has served on his local real estate association board and on the board of the local Appraisal Institute Chapter.
In 2017, Fincham was awarded the Outstanding Service Award by the Appraisal Institute President.
Earlier in his career, Fincham held positions at private appraisal firms, municipal assessment offices, and the Virginia Department of Taxation, where he reviewed conservation easements and historic façade easements.
